Camp Fawcett
The Nueces River in Southwest Texas was suffering from lack of use and updates. A committee of former scouts who had fond memories of their time at Camp Fawcett organized to raise money to improve the campground. To do that, they needed a simple website that allowed the committee flexibility to post updates, financial records, maps, and pictures. They wanted a website instead of a Facebook group because with a website, they'd benefit more from Google search engine visibility, and reach as wide an audience as possible. Since going live, CampFawcett.org has raised thousands of dollars and organized hundreds of alum of the historical camp.
